''Lilavati's Daughters'' is a collection of biographical essays on Women Scientists of India. ''Lilavati'' was a treatise written by twelfth-century Indian mathematician Bhāskara II. It deals with arithmetics, algebra, geometry etc. through poetic conversations with his daughter Lilavati. ==Contents== It contains biographical essays on botanist E. K. Janaki Ammal, Chemist Asima Chatterjee, physician Anandibai Joshi, anthropologist Iravati Karve, biochemist Kamala Sohonie, medical researcher Kamal Ranadive, chemist Darshan Ranganathan, physicist B. Vijayalakshmi, meteorologist Anna Mani, fluid mechanist Rama Govindarajan and many others.
